The objectives for the current Academic Year (2010-11) so as to facilitate its vision, are as follows:
- To identify more talent from the new batch of freshers and encourage them to practice and participate with the Music group of the college and to train them for the various music events being held in our college.
- To provide more resources to the Music group (pts. 3 & 4) and make full use of the competitive opportunities in the form of various college festivals during the year.
- To hire external music teachers (for vocals, instrumental) for the purpose of regulating the music sessions for the members of the music society as well as other music enthusiasts in the university.
- To assign a permanent Music Room for the Music group.
- To earn as many laurels in inter-college events for DTU as possible, by achieving pts. 2, 3 & 4.
- To hold bigger events in the Annual Cultural festival as well as hold separate events such as ECKO.
- To have a separate account for the society so that the funding procedure for the society can be eased.
