Film Series Club

VISION

The Film Series Club was started last year in 2009, under the Student Activity Cell, with a vision to spread awareness amongst students about the different genres of theatre which are present, but yet to get popular. We believe that movies can be very influential as it can contribute in building up ones character, personality etc. and inspiring, educating individuals about various aspects of life and creating awareness amongst them as well. With the help of movies we plan to improve the taste and knowledge of the students of our University making them better intellectuals.


OBJECTIVE

The objectives for the current Academic Year (2010-11) so as to facilitate its vision, are as follows:

  1. To screen movies once a week in a properly facilitated place.
  2. To screen a movie once a month in one of the hostels to increase the viewership.
  3. To have a collaborated movie screening once a month with a NGOs like Pravah followed by an interactive session.
  4. To provide more resources/better equipment to the Film Series Club so as it can attract a better crowd.
  5. To encourage the students to make short films on activities or events taking place in day to day life.
  6. To have a screening event in the annual cultural festival (Engifest).
  7. To hold special learning sessions by playing documentaries and homemade movies once a month.
