In the words of Shakespeare ‘The world is a stage and we are all actors ‘ .We at DTU are not aiming to create mechanical people , who are just technical in their outlook with no outlet to vent out their emotions. Theatre is the key. Whether it is done just for fun , or taken up as a serious hobby , acting releases the built up emotions in the human body and consequently helps us in focussing things better. Ranging from comic plays to plays quintessentially depicting the social plight and rigid norms of the society , to plays carrying some important social message with a humour touch to it , we believe that drama connects people. The stage gives a perfect outlook to express ourselves and in turn gives a better understanding of the society . Being on stage brings about the leadership aspects in students . They control the stage and hence control the outcome of their performance. It brings in them the feeling of confidence and the spirit of working together as a team to make the play a success. Our vision remains the same, to honour the core purpose of making drama. We want to encourage more students to take up drama and express their feelings and make their imaginations run wild. The basic characteristics of developing confidence , team spirit , stage presence and sound leadership qualities among our fellow students continue to remain our vision for the society. Our vision is to create the most active and effective dramatics society of Delhi and make the most meaningful plays covering all genres.
