It is well known that the hallowed walls of Delhi Technological University are an abode of energetic, venture-some, innovative young minds corroborated by its numerous educational research projects and student teams. In fact, the universally appreciated student teams like the Super-Mileage Vehicle, Formula-Student Racing, Mini-Baja Off-road team and the Lunar Rover can be proclaimed the USP of our mechanical and automotive branches which are counted among the best in the nation. Wouldn’t it be great to create a platform where all the auto aficionados, petro-heads could meet to discuss and debate the latest technology doing the rounds?
The Automotive Club does just the same! Be it the Anti-lock Braking System or the mini jet turbines used on the Jaguar C-X75 hybrid, the club gathers every month to discourse about what’s cool and what’s making a fool in the automotive industry today. Comprehending the need to introduce juniors to the spectacular universe of cars, the club also organizes technical workshops on fields like Engines, Transmission, Vehicle Dynamics, Aerodynamics and Hybrids, conducted by the very student team members who have seen that and done that. Be it Formula-One or the World Rally Championship, the Automotive Club covers it all.
Our vision is keeping the influx of spirited, enthusiastic students alive, so that the next-generation of research initiatives taken in our university is better than yesterday. It’s not wrong to dream big, is it?
