MBA- IEV (Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Venture Development), USME


The USME, East Delhi Campus of DTU, has entrepreneurship as part of its mission. With an aspiration to be recognized a world class practice-based school, it offers a practicum mode learning program in its MBA IEV. Credits are earned through three components, involving classroom learning based courses, mentored capstone projects that take the participant through different stages of start-up formation and venture development, and thirdly, action-based learning-by-doing segment involving creating your own venture, with support from the University in most cases. Learning in management and entrepreneurship is experiential and outcome based in nature.

ELIGIBILITY

1. A candidate who has passed a graduate degree program and has scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university/institution are eligible to apply.

a) Relaxation of 10% in marks to SC/ST/PWD candidates shall be given in eligibility criteria.

b) Those who are appearing in final semester examination may also apply, provided that they submit the proof of eligibility and graduation marks at the time of personal interview.

c) The student should hold a degree from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Note: In case the conversion formula is not provided by the concerned Institute/University then equivalent percentage will be computed as per the DTU guidelines. Percentage of Marks (10 x CGPA)


ADMISSION PROCESS



Merit list for final admission is usually prepared on the basis of combined scores of the following components with weightages as given below:

• Graduation marks (40% weightage)

• Case Study (20%)

• Personal Interview (30%)

• Gender Diversity (5%)

• Academic Diversity (5%).

Note: Candidate may be required to secure at least 40 percent marks of interview component to be considered eligible for admission, as per admission riles extant in any given year. The process is usually held by the Common Management Admission Committee comprising members from two participating universities of Delhi – DTU and NSUT.
