MBA (Family Business and Entrepreneurship) Program is a two-year full-time professional degree that combines rigorous academic schedules with practise-based hands-on learning to develop new perspectives, in the area of family business as well as entrepreneurship practice. The focus is facilitate the participants in expanding or enhancing performance of existing businesses, which may originate from family businesses; or helping transformation to digital businesses. It may also facilitate starting a new business. The diversification and internationalization of existing business is a third path that may be explored through this program, for existing family business. The foundation courses provide a deep understanding of management, with an opportunity to learn fundamental principles of management across functional domains such as marketing, finance, and accounts, supply chain, etc. It also provides elective courses specially designed for transforming family business or establishing new ventures. These electives are in family business management (compulsory) with additional electives chosen from diverse entrepreneurship areas such as digital and social start-ups, e-commerce, business strategy, etc.


ELIGIBILITY


1. A candidate who has passed a graduate degree program and has scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university/institution are eligible to apply.
a) Relaxation of 10% in marks to SC/ST/ PWD candidates shall be given in eligibility criteria.
b) Those who are appearing in final semester examination may also apply. provided that they submit the proof of eligibility and graduation marks at the time of admission.
c) The student should hold a degree from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central. or state legislature in India, or other. educational Institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD. Government of India.
2. Candidates must have credentials of Family Business with GST number. The proof of which is required to be submitted at the time of admission
Note: In case the conversion formula is not provided by the concerned Institute/ University then equivalent percentage will be computed as per the DTU guidelines which are as follows: Percentage of Marks (10 x CGPA)


ADMISSION PROCESS


Merit list for final admission shall usually be prepared on the basis of combined scores of the following components with weightages as given below (a specified by the Admission Committee each year):
• Graduation marks (4 % weightage)
• Case Study (20%)
• Personal Interview (30%)
• Gender Diversity (5%)
• Academic Diversity (5%)
