Arpeggio is an annual rock event Organised by DCE and held during its annual cultural fest 'Engifest'. This year it takes place on the 19 of feb. The headliners have always been a thing to talk about and this year the turnover is expected to be around 4000.

Arpeggio and Battle of Bands is an opportunity for bands from all over India to showcase their talent in front of a crowd of more than 4000.

The bands will be shortlisted  for the prelims on the basis of their original compositions and will perform before the panel of judges in the college Convocation Hall.

There will be two levels:

Preliminary round: 17 Feb 2011

Time: 1200 hrs onwards

12 bands to be shortlisted.

30min x 12 bands = 360min = 6hrs

Finals: 17 Feb 2011

Time : 1800hrs onwards.

3 bands to play in the finals.

30min x 3 bands = 90min = 1.5hrs
Sound Setup Time: 3hrs
Total Time: 6+2+3=11hrs

Venue : Convocation Hall, Civil Block

Rules of Regulations for the Event

Rules and regulations for Battle of Bands(preliminary round):

The Competitors must register for the event to be able to participate.
The Prelims will start at 12:00 on 17th of February (Thursday) in the college Convocation Hall.
Participating bands will have to bring their own instruments.
Each band will be given a slot of 15 minutesincluding soundcheck. Exceeding this limit will lead to deduction in marks.
The decision of the judges will be regarded as the final decision.

Rules and regulations for Battle of Bands(final round):
Only those participants who qualify the preliminary round will get a chance to perform in the Finals.
The Finals will start at 6 p.m. in the Convocation Hall.
Each band will be given a slot of 20 minutes including soundcheck. Exceeding the time limit will result in deduction of marks.
The decision of the judges will be regarded as the final decision.

Winning Time = 1 x 30min = 30mins

College Band = 1 x 30min = 30mins

Total Time = 1hr

Gigs - 3 bands total

1hr x 3 bands = 3hrs

Soundcheck = 2 hrs

Sound Setup = 3hrs

Total Time = 9hrs
