ARTE FOTOGRAPHIA
(The art of Drawing with light)
It is an endeavour to reach out to the discerning people. The objective is to sensitise a learner- a keen and creative mind, towards photography along with its various facets and relate it to aspects of print/electronic production and corporate communication, in daily life. This would cover every point from IMAGINATION TO REALITY. The intention is to create an insight into issues that concern students who may be willing to be professional photographers or adopt photography as a hobby.

These will do well primarily on

• Communication aspects
• Sensitisation (learning to see)
• Visual appeal
• Developing an integrated ability to blend technology with art.

We are confident; the participants trained by us would be able to produce any photograph for print or electronic publishing at par with the reputed and famous professionals in the trade.
Apart from making these into serious hobbies, photography can provide ample sharpening of observation skills of the participants

PHOTO NUTS AND BOLTS
(KNOW YOUR CAMERA AND TAKE BETTER PICTURES)

This is a workshop on basic photography techniques wherein all technical parts of a camera and how it works along with the creativity of one's mind will be taught….thus it is a photography teaching workshop
It would consist of 2 theory classes and 2 practical classes..students from all colleges and areas are welcome for this workshop on photography.

This workshop would be taken by Mr. Hemant Kumar Uppal who is a gold medalist from Printing School Of Allahabad…he has a good experience in taking workshops on photography and has taught photography to various students of different colleges through his workshops.
Charges would be Rs500 per outsider and Rs250 for a DCE'ite.
DURATION: 3-4days,3-4 hrs per day with break
PHOTO-ECLAIR – The photography competition

1) FOTO ENGINEERING (On the spot event)

Beauty can be seen in all things..seeing and composing this beauty in a unique way IS WHAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE.
In this event one lab(mostprobably SMV lab) would be provided to the participants for photography…the best picture wins

2) IMMAGINI

a)Theme photography
b)Song photography

Photography is a way of "feeling" , "touching", of "loving"
This event comprises of 2 stages..in the first one, a theme would be given according to which a picture has to be given. The best suited ones would cross this stage. In the second stage a one minute song piece would be provided to all participants, they have to click a series of 10-12 pictures to justify the song.
This is an online submission event.

3) DECEPTION

a) Night mode(night photography)
b) Camera tricks

You don't take a photograph..YOU MAKE IT
This again has two stages..one is photography in night and second is showcasing various camera tricks..ie. a raw pic looking as if it has been edited and photo-effects have been added.

4) BIOTA

Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life and holding it still.
Capturing animals, birds, insects is what this event is all about.

5) ARTE NATURA

A photograph is a portrait painted by Sun.
This event is all about architectural and landscape photography.
Online submission.

6) EMOTIONAL ATYACHAAR

It takes no great power to capture people's faces..the magic is in seeing them differently.
To bring out the best emotions in the best way is what this event is about

7) SILHOUETTES

Clicking it against the light.
Best of silhouettes or capturing against the light and producing masterpieces would define this event

8) MACRO MODE

Makin it work like a microscope
Extreme close up shots using the macro feature of the camera are to be produced. As not much technical knowledge is required even beginners can participate in this event.

9) VISION MONGERS

The important thing is not the camera, but THE EYE.
This is an event exclusively for amateurs..those who don't know the techniques but like capturing things wherever they go…during the judgement, technicalities would be ignored to a great extent and only the composition or the frame would be judged on.

Rules of Regulations for the Event

Online submission.

Online submission means that the pics would be sent to us via e-mail and we would get the good ones printed and all the short listed participants would be called upon for the judgement.
Judgement would be made by the same person taking the workshop and one more judge might be called upon who is a proffessional photographer.
