This Gold medal is instituted in 2021 by Mrs. Gopina Goyal w/o Dr. Alok Goyal & mother of Mr. Aditya Goyal & Mr. Shubham Goyal (Alumni of DTU) In memory of Dr. Alok Goyal, a loving father& husband, an alumnus of Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi & a reputed Indian Administrative officer (IAS, Batch 1990), who valued his children's education above everything else. He used to say - "The greatest satisfaction for a parent is seeing his children blossom". He played an indispensable role in both his children’s education helping Aditya follow his footsteps & get selected for the Indian Administrative Service (Batch 2019) & Shubham complete his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad as the overall Institute topper. This medal is a homage to this thought, with a firm conviction that the students of this wonderful institute shall continue to scale new heights and make their parents, their alma mater and their country proud. The total amount contributed is INR 5,00,000
Criterion for Gold medal: This Gold Medal will be awarded to the student who achieves the highest overall GPA across all streams in the flagship undergraduate BTech program at the time of graduation.
