Criteria:

He initially joined DDA in February 1970; and in June 1974, he shifted to Irrigation & Flood Control Department of Govt. of Delhi, after his selection through UPSC. He retired from the department as Superintendent Engineer.

Santosh has authored Nine Text Books in the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering, which are very popular amongst the students as well as teachers of Civil and Environmental Engineering Courses,

He has also been a Visiting External Examiner to Delhi college of Engineering for more than 10 years.

RAJESWARI GARG MEMORIAL GOLD MEDAL

This medal has been instituted in DTU by its 1969 Alumnus-Sh. SANTOSH KUMAR GARG-in the memory of his late Wife-Mrs. RAJESHWARI GARG.

The name of Sh. S.K Garg, is well known to the teachers and students of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering Branches, for his popular & renowned books on Water Resources as well as Environmental Engineering.

The success and popularity of these books is attributed by him to his wife, in the memory of whom this small token of love & affection is instituted to celebrate the sweet memories of RAJESHWARI.
