He headed the Quality Control & Testing functions at Delton cables Ltd. He played a key role in developing suitable welding technology leading to successful completion of pioneering job at Larsen and Turbo.
He served as the Marketing Head and then as the Chief Executive at Modi Arc Electrodes Company,Modinagar.H e was made the Chief Executive of Modi Gas & Chemicals in 1997 and was also appointed as the director at Director of Weld Excel India Ltd .He too served as an advisor at Kobelco Welding India.
He was Chairman of Indian Institute of Welding(IIW), Delhi Branch from 1984 to 1986, and then for five years, the Vice-President of IIW. He was felicitated by IIW during its Golden Jubilee celebrations in Kolkata in 2016.He is also a Silver Member of American Welding Society.
Moti is a founder member of Indian Welding Society and its first Chairman of the Northern Zone. He took over as the President of Indian Welding Society(IWS).
He was on the Executive Council of Asian Welding Federation and a member of the Technical Task Force engaged in drafting and finalizing ISO standards relating to welding and welding personnel. Moti was conferred the LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD by Indian Welding Society in 2008.
Moti was also the Chairman of CII-Welding Consumables & Equipment Division from 2003 to 2008.
