Born in 1945, Prof. A. K. Tandon completed his engineering graduation (B.Sc. Engg.) in 1967 from Agra University. During his engineering graduation he topped Agra University in Electrical Engineering and was a Chancellor’s Medalist. He completed his M. Tech. in 1969 from IIT, Bombay. He did his Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering in 1984 from IIT, Delhi. Chancellors Medalist Dr. A.K. Tandon is a renowned Professor in Electronics & Electrical Engineering and an able administrator. He is owner of “One Indian Patent on Braking of 3 phase induction Motors” and many research papers. After servicing for 2 years in Industry (at Toshiwal Instrument & Engg. Co.), he served Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) for 35 years. Moving ahead he was Principal/Director of 4 Engineering Colleges.
