The Centre for Community Development and Research (CCDR) aims to empower communities through impactful research, development programs, and collaborative efforts. The primary mission is to foster sustainable development by addressing local and global challenges, creating a platform for community-driven solutions, and promoting social and economic resilience.
Key Objectives
1. Conduct innovative, impactful research to solve real-world problems.

4. Advance academic programs related to community development and social empowerment.
5. Establish a vibrant research ecosystem to engage students, professionals, and alumni in collaborative projects.

Key Activities to be Taken Up by the Centre
The Centre’s activities for the next three years focus on creating a lasting impact through various research initiatives, training programs, and infrastructure development. The activities that will benefit from alumni donations include:
1. Research Projects & Consultancy: Alumni support will fund ongoing research projects and consultancy initiatives that aim to address community challenges and local issues.
2. Training and Capacity Building: Funds will be used to run specialized training programs, develop educational toolkits, and increase access to community-driven development initiatives.
3. Scholarships and Academic Programs: Alumni donations will help fund new postgraduate programs in community development, as well as scholarships for students pursuing internships or fieldwork in underserved communities.
4. Community Outreach: Support for outreach programs aimed at increasing community resilience and sustainable development through workshops and knowledge transfer.
5. A three-day training program on “Operation and Maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic Systems” was conducted from 2nd January to 4th January, 2025. A total number of 29 participants successfully completed this training program. This intensive program will equip you with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in solar PV systems, covering key aspects of installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. It is an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and broaden your career prospects in the renewable energy sector.
