Strategic Partnerships for Community Development
The Centre for Community Development & Research actively engages with diverse stakeholders to amplify its impact and expand its reach. Through strategic collaborations and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with governmental organizations, research institutions, civil society organizations, and corporate partners, CCDR creates synergies that enhance program effectiveness and foster innovation in community development practice.
Delhi Technological University (DTU) entered into a collaborative partnership with the Scientific Analysis Group (SAG), a premier laboratory under the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), to advance joint research and academic initiatives in emerging technologies. SAG, recognized for its pioneering contributions in cryptography and information security, has long provided critical technological inputs for national security and defence applications. With its specialized research infrastructure and multidisciplinary expertise, SAG continues to play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge solutions for secure communication and information systems.
The collaboration focused on promoting multidisciplinary research and enhancing academic engagement in areas of strategic importance. Faculty members and students from DTU will participate in joint research projects, knowledge exchange programs, and internships, gaining valuable exposure to applied defence research and advanced technology development. The partnership encompassed a wide range of research domains, including cyber and network security, IoT and smart device security, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, blockchain, and secure communication systems. Through this initiative, DTU strengthened its institutional capabilities in security and defence technologies, while providing its students and researchers with experiential learning opportunities aligned with national R&D priorities.

Delhi Technological University (DTU), in collaboration with TRAX S. Society, successfully conducted initiatives focused on Road Safety Practices and the development of Student Ambassadors under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 22 November 2024. TRAX S. Society, a nationally recognized road safety NGO, partnered with DTU to promote safe road behavior, with a special emphasis on two-wheeler riders and pillion riders, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals SDG 3.6 (halving global deaths and injuries from road traffic crashes) and SDG 11.2 (ensuring access to safe, affordable, and sustainable transport).
A Road Safety Team was constituted at DTU, comprising Prof. Shilpa Pal as one faculty mentor and four student members forming the Core Team of Road Safety Brand Ambassadors. The team executed five mandatory activities, including the “Role of Bystander”, coordinated all logistics, maintained reporting standards, and submitted monthly progress reports to ensure maximum outreach. This collaboration effectively raised awareness about road safety among students and the wider community, empowering youth to act as informed ambassadors for safer transportation practices.
