Message From HOD
With the greatest of pride, I warmly welcome you to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Delhi Technological University. Over all these years, we have made progress in leaps and bounds in educating students and bring them at par with the ever-expanding horizons of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
At Bachelors’ level, we offer four-year B.Tech. (Regular) Programme, and four-year B.Tech. (Evening) Programme. At Masters’ level, we offer three areas of specialisation for two-year M.Tech. Programmes: (i) Microwave and Optical Communication, (ii) Signal Processing & Digital Design, (iii) VLSI Design and Embedded Systems. Full-time and Part-time Ph.D. Programmes are offered in all areas where research is being currently conducted by our Faculty Members, with varying sources of scholarships.
The Electronics and Communication Engineering department has always placed prime emphasis on excellence in teaching and research. Faculty members have very good academic credentials, and are highly motivated towards imparting the best of education, and also pioneering research and development. Several faculty members serve on the Editorial Boards of National and International Journals, and hold Senior Positions in various technical organisations like IEEE, IETE and IET. Our courses are frequently updated in terms of depth as well as the subjects themselves, so that our students always remain on the forefront of technological advancement. Well-equipped Laboratories, and encouragement to pursue research has increased our students’ productivity in terms of placements, higher studies and research contributions. It has been observed that student research contribution has increased tremendously during last few years.

In my experience of over two decades at the University, I have personally seen us become autonomous, and reach new heights of excellence in all aspects. The Department too underwent a massive evolution, and today boasts to be one of the most Industrially Relevant and Technologically Updated Department in the University. We could not do this without the sheer dedication and passion of our Faculty Members, Support Staff and Students.
