Heartily Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering (CEE) at Delhi Technological University. The Department has grown tremendously and is now recognized as one of the best and major Engineering Department in the country. It provides high quality teaching and research. We provide very attractive facilities and an environment for those who join the Department as Faculty or Student. Meticulously crafted in accordance with international benchmarks, our academic programs are expressly designed to meet the dynamic demands of our nation and abroad. A testament to our commitment to excellence is the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accredited Bachelor of Technology degree program in Civil Engineering. Furthermore, we have secured NBA accreditation for our all Master of Technology degree programs in Civil Engineering, viz. Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Hydraulics & Water Resources Engineering etc.

The department boasts state-of-the-art laboratories, a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality practical learning experiences. Moreover, our faculty actively engages as PI for projects and testing professionals for numerous government-funded infrastructure projects. Some of the faculty members have also been involved with sponsored research projects that include Natural and Man-made Disaster Risk reduction Cloud Burst, Glacial Lakes Outburst Floods and Flash Flood studies, Non- linear Mechanics of Elasto-Flexible Cables using Placement Model and many more, for various govt. organizations.
Several Professors of the department are supporting various functions of govt. organizations such as members of various boards of regulatory bodies of Government, member of the technical groups to support to the Govt. organizations, Confidential works for UPSC, state-level PSC and other universities.
The graduates of our department play an integral role in the nation's development plans, occupying pivotal positions in both governmental and private sectors. Their involvement spans diverse engineering projects, including but not limited to construction management, structural analysis and design, transportation planning, water resource systems design and management, environmental engineering and geotechnical engineering.
Excellent facilities are available to conduct research for the award of Ph.D. degree in the various disciplines of Civil Engineering including structural Engineering , Earthquake Engineering , Stochastic modelling and applications of AI , Concrete Technology , Tall Structures and Rehabilitation of Structures , Geotechnical Engineering, Experimental Mechanics, Soil Mechanics and Rock Mechanics , River Water quality Modelling , Geo-Environmental Engineering, Water Resource Engineering and Wind Load Analysis on Structures etc.
Our doors are perennially open to collaboration with universities, research institutions, esteemed alumni, regulatory bodies such as BIS, CPCB, and DPCC, as well as industries. The university is receiving several consultancy projects largely as TPQA works which are assigned by Project implementation agencies like PWD, CPWD, DDA, DJB, MCD, I&FC, NBCC and so on. The building material testing related works are also received as consultancy assignments.
