Mathematics is one of the oldest academic subjects and is one of the most mature and well developed disciplines of basic sciences. Mathematicians are making lots of contribution to the society. Department of Applied mathematics, DTU is currently thriving, both in terms of teaching and research.
The Department of Applied Mathematics caters the academic/teaching needs of the entire University from undergraduate to post graduate level. Moreover extends support to other Departments who need to upgrade the Mathematical skills of their students. Further the Department offers a four year undergraduate programme in Mathematics & Computing, which was started in the year 2011.
The aim of the Department is to make students technologically and mathematically competent and sound so that they can contribute to the society. We hope to fulfill and nurture our student’s passion for learning Mathematics.
