The sports council of the University was found in the later months of 2016. The DTU Sports Council is going to organize the first ever sportsfest, AAHVAAN, of the University on 23 -26 March 2017.
DTU also hosted a plethora of sports activities to inculcate the culture of physical fitness among the young minds. The University formulated the unique concept of a week-long inter-departmental sports fest, “ARENA 2016”. The fest involved more than just playing and enjoying sports; it became a medium of bringing together the youth by giving them the opportunity to showcase their Sporting Skills.
On the special occasion of the completion of 75 glorious years of Delhi Technological University, Arena 2016 was bigger and better than ever with more than 1500 participants, 200 plus teams and footfall of 18,000 attendees. With sports ranging from Table Tennis to Kabaddi, the DTU Green Run to “Tour de DTU”, a unique cycle race in the campus, Arena promised a week of fun, frolic, enthusiasm and thrill for all the sports lovers.
