East Delhi Campus of Delhi Technological University was inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on August 18, 2017. It envisioned an institution that would nurture an entrepreneurial spirit in students to cultivate job creators rather than job seekers, make the institute a premier research organisation that conducts relevant studies , and elevate its endeavours to the standards of a global university.
The Institution is located in Vivek Vihar Phase II, in east Delhi. It has state-of-the-art infrastructure, houses over a thousand students at present, and is committed to quality and excellence. Further the institution aims at facilitating students to become highly competitive at the global level and instil lthe values and work ethics that enable them to be responsible and proud citizens of the country. The institution runs programs that enable learning in the field of Business Administration/Management, Social Sciences and Entrepreneurship, and also houses the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, that aims at being a hub for initiating, supporting and facilitating, entrepreneurship, and related learning, venture development and research.
USME degree granting programmes comprise the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management, Economics and Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Venture Development, with programs like Master of Business Administration (MBA), the Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics (MBA-BA), the Master of Business Administration in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Venture Development (MBA-IEV), and the Master of Business Administration in Family Business and Entrepreneurship (MBA-FBE), Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) and B.A.(Hons.) Economics.
All programmes offered at USME are designed with a professional orientation. The curriculum has been designed by academic experts, senior professionals from industry, and DTU-DCE alumni that includes successful and recognised entrepreneurs. The school focuses on the holistic development of students by imparting knowledge and skills relevant to the present times Industry and societal requirements.
The academic curriculum is effectively integrated with a variety of enriched learning and co. curricular activities such as workshops, industry exposure and lectures conducted by eminent speakers from industry and academia. Students are encouraged to participate in conferences, seminars and competitions, facilitating organization of several co-curricular activities Students have also successfully organised the Internship fair.
The University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME) and the Centres of Excellence that are Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC) as part of DTU-IIF, the Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC) and Center of Organizational Development (COD) comprise the institutional framework of the East Delhi Campus. Students are encouraged to work with the Centers and with Student Clubs mentored by faculty, to enrich their learning and achieve both professional and holistic self-development.
