The One-Day Workshop on Atomistic Modelling Using Synopsys Quantum ATK for Nanomaterials/Nano Devices was a highly informative and engaging event that took place on 11 January 2024 at Pragyan Hall, Admin Block, Delhi Technological University. The workshop was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and applications of atomistic modelling in the field of nanotechnology. The workshop was led by Mr. Ayush Singh, a Senior Application Engineer at IMS, who brought a wealth of experience in the field of atomistic modelling and had worked extensively with Synopsys Quantum ATK. Mr. Singh guided participants through the fundamentals of atomistic modelling, including the use of Quantum ATK for simulating nanomaterials and nano devices.

This event was highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Vinod Dham Centre of Excellence for Semiconductors & Microelectronics and Silvaco, a leading name in the field. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Prateek Sharma, the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, who served as the Chief Patron. The event was a testament to the commitment of both institutions towards fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. The MoU laid the foundation for a robust partnership, facilitating cooperation in various research activities, projects, and consultancy services. One of the key highlights of the event was the emphasis on the exchange of students for summer and winter internships. This exchange program was designed to provide students with hands-on experience and exposure to real-world challenges in the field of semiconductors and microelectronics.
