Dr. Veenu Shankar

Summary 

• PhD in Management (with specialization in Organizational Behavior) from IIT Delhi, India
• Early career researcher in organizational behavior, corporate sustainability, and the impact of preconceived notions on pro-environmental behavior, with ongoing projects under review. My research explores how behavior shapes individuals’ green behavior and helps organizations contribute towards sustainable goals and overall corporate responsibility

Dr. Veenu Shankar is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at USME, DTU. She has qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) in the subject of management, as per the UGC NET guidelines. She has completed her PhD from DMS, IIT Delhi in the domain of environmental responsibility. In her research, her primary goal was to amalgamate institutional and individual level factors to assess their impact on overall environmental quality. She has been one of the candidates for SWAYAM’s week-long workshop conducted by former Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, Mr. Arvind Subramanian. She is certified by UKIERI (United Kingdom - India Education Research Initiative) on Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). She is also a Gold-Medalist in the 12-week HR Analytics course spearheaded by IIT-Roorkee and IIM-Rohtak professors under NPTEL initiative. 

Dr. Shankar has been actively involved in policy-implementation driven projects funded by CSC (Common Services Center) and DDE (Delhi Directorate of Education) in the capacities of research associate and research enumerator respectively. She has published her research in the Academy of Management (AOM) proceedings, which is considered as the most coveted conference in the management discipline. Her book-chapters are also published by the School of Open Learning, Delhi University for MBA-level academic use. Other than this, she has presented her work at reputed platforms such as British Academy of Management (BAM), IIM-Kozhikode, and Competition Commission of India (CCI).

July 2025 - Present: Assistant Professor, Delhi School of Management, Delhi Technological University

Engaged in teaching and research responsibilities. Teaching multiple postgraduate courses such as Management Process and Organizational Behavior, Strategic Human Resource Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Business Communication and Interpersonal Skills. The courses are primarily around leadership and management skills.

April 2025 – June 2025: Research Associate, Amity University Noida

I was engaged in a project funded by the CSC Academy (a venture of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY)). The project focused on the digital library and its impact on stakeholders. The data was collected from 35 states using mixed methods. The project helped the government of India (GOI) to incorporate methods that would increase the revenue as well as it perennial impact.

January 2017- February 2025: Research Fellow (Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi). Research work using mixed-methods to understand institutional and individual-level factors of corporate social responsibility. Using content analysis and structural equation modelling, the relevance of such factors was established. Novel theories, such as behavioral reasoning theory, have been used to highlight relevance.
