PROFILE

Dr. Sumit Joshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Delhi Technological University. He has significant academic experience in teaching, research, and mentoring, with a strong foundation in core mechanical engineering disciplines. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology from January 2019 to December 2025. During his tenure, he was actively involved in teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, and played a key role in accreditation activities under the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), contributing to quality assurance and outcome-based education processes.

Dr. Joshi has also successfully completed a 6-week AICTE–QIP–PG Certificate Program on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Indian Institute of Information Technology Una, strengthening his expertise in emerging computational techniques. His academic and research interests include advanced manufacturing processes, particularly friction stir processing of non-ferrous alloys, along with the application of machine learning in materials engineering. He is dedicated to integrating modern technological tools with traditional engineering concepts and fostering innovation among students and researchers.
