PROFILE

Dr. Saurabh Mishra is an electrical engineering researcher specializing in power electronics, electric motor drives, and renewable-energy-integrated electric mobility systems. He received his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Jabalpur Engineering College, Jabalpur, in 2012, and M.Tech. in Electrical Drives from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, in 2016. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in July 2025, where his work focused on advanced sensorless control, adaptive observers, and energy-aware drive architectures for synchronous reluctance (SyR) motor–based electric vehicles. Since Jan. 2017, Dr. Mishra has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering), Government of NCT of Delhi. Over the years, he has developed a distinctive research approach and acumen integrating power electronics converters for brushless motor drives, battery PV energy management, and EV oriented control strategies under the esteemed supervision of Respected Prof. Bhim Singh, Professor, IIT-Delhi. His work uniquely combines theoretical modeling, real-time DSP implementation, and experimental validation on EV-drive hardware platforms. Dr. Mishra has published in leading IEEE Transactions and Journals. His broader academic vision is to develop high-efficiency, magnet-free EV drives and intelligent renewable-energy-supported propulsion systems tailored to India’s emerging electric mobility ecosystem. His research interests include power electronics, electric machines and drives, synchronous reluctance motor control, sensorless estimation techniques, energy storage systems, and solar-battery-assisted electric vehicle architectures.
