PROFILE

Dr. Pooja Gupta is currently serving as a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU). She obtained her Ph.D. in 2023 and M.Tech. in 2016 in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIITD). Her doctoral research, titled “Information Fusion using Convolutional Transform Learning,” focuses on advanced machine learning and information processing techniques.

She completed her B.Tech. in Information Technology from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), GGSIPU in 2014. Dr. Gupta’s research contributions have been published in several reputed SCI/SCIE-indexed international journals and high-quality conferences.

She is also the recipient of highly competitive national awards, including GATE (99.2 percentile) and the prestigious UGC NET-JRF, where she was selected among only 26 awardees nationwide.

Expert Talks

  • Delivered lecture session in Explore Engineering 2025 – an outreach extension activity conducted in Department of Computer Science & Engineering, DTU (July 2025). 

  • Delivered a lecture session during the B.Tech 1st Year Orientation Programme (AY 2025–2026) organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, DTU from July 28, 2025 to August 1, 2025. The session, held on July 31, 2025, was on the topic “Introduction to Research and its Significance” and aimed at motivating and encouraging students to develop an early interest in research.

  • Delivered a lecture on “Information Fusion and Deep Learning in Bioinformatics.” in the 2 days workshop (held from April 28, 2025 - April 29, 2025) on “Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning in Various Domains”. The talk covered an introduction to deep learning paradigms and models, the role of information fusion, and their applications in bioinformatics.
