Techno-Managerial Service in Centre Government (1985-2012)

Former officer of Indian Statistical Service; Served in the Centre Government for more than 25 years. Last served as Senior Technical Director in the National Informatics Centre before joining academics.  Contributed in the evolution of several information systems in Govt. organizations related to the agriculture and allied sector – particularly,  as the NIC National Co-ordinator for implementing the ambitious e-governance project “Agricultural Marketing Information Network System (AGMARKNET)” in 3000+ wholesale markets across the country. Key contribution for improving systems has been in terms of strategic planning, systems development, co-ordinating projects, nation-wide stakeholders’ workshops, etc.

• Joined as Group ‘A’ Officer of Indian Statistical Service in Centre Government in 1986 and served at various responsible positions from Aug 1986 to July 2012
• Served as Head, Delhi School of Management during December 2012 to August 2016. The responsibilities, iner alia, included Chairman, Board of Studies and Chairman, Department Research Committee.

• Served/Serving as Chairman/Member of many academic and administrative committees.
