PROFILE

Dr. Navneeta Bharadvaja is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi, where she has been serving since 2010. She has over 15 years of combined teaching and research experience in biotechnology. Prior to joining DTU, she worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology at the College of Engineering & Technology. Her research focuses on the establishment of medicinal plant and algal cultures for the sustainable production of pharmaceutically and industrially important compounds. She has extensive expertise in the in vitro optimization of high-value, low-volume phytochemicals and secondary metabolites. Her work also includes nanoparticle synthesis for medicinal and industrial applications. Dr. Bharadvaja actively works on phyto- and phycoremediation of dyes and heavy metals to address environmental challenges. She is involved in in-silico analysis of phytochemicals for potential drug discovery against various diseases. Her interdisciplinary research integrates plant biotechnology, algal biotechnology, nanobiotechnology, environmental biotechnology, and computational biology. She has published several peer-reviewed research articles in reputed scientific journals
