PREVIOUS POSITIONS/ EXPERIENCE
Served as Assistant Professor of Physics at SGR PG College, Janunpur (1999-2002).
Served as a Scientist at CSIR–National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, from 2002 to 2024, and retired as Chief Scientist in September 2024. Led the Quantum Resistance Metrology and 2D Physics Group for nearly a decade. Established India’s primary standard of resistance based on the quantum Hall effect in 2003, which was subsequently peer-reviewed and validated in 2005 and 2010.
Initiated and led thin-film research on strongly correlated doped rare-earth manganites, and later developed a comprehensive thin-film growth program at CSIR-NPL. This program encompassed a wide range of advanced materials, including manganites, Heusler alloys, topological insulators, and epitaxial graphene.
