PROFILE
Mr. Anunay A. Gour is an environmental engineer and academic working at Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi, with expertise in Environmental Engineering, Solid Waste Management, Waste-to-Energy, Environmental Impact Assessment, Lifecycle Assessment, Water & Wastewater Engineering, Air Pollution, System Simulation & Modeling. His teaching and research span environmental system modelling, landfill emissions, e-waste, vehicular non-exhaust emissions, and wastewater-related greenhouse gases, with several publications and student theses guided in these domains.
Academic background
Mr. Gour holds an M.E. in Civil (Environmental) Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, University of Delhi, and a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Nagpur University, complemented by a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Government Polytechnic, Nagpur. His academic journey has been consistently distinguished, with first-division scores and merit positions across diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate studies.

Since 2014, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor in Environmental Engineering at DTU, contributing to teaching, curriculum development, research, training, and evaluation at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research focuses on groundwater and landfill leachate contamination, air quality variation and festival-related pollution, greenhouse gas emissions from landfills and sewage treatment plants, e-waste and metal recovery, non-exhaust vehicular emissions, and adsorption-based treatment using rice husk ash. He has authored and co-authored papers in international journals and conferences on air quality indices, municipal solid waste trends, landfill greenhouse gas emissions, life-cycle impacts of electronic equipment, and occupational and environmental health issues at landfill sites.
Supervision, projects, and recognition
Mr. Gour has supervised and co-supervised several B.Tech and M.Tech theses on landfill emissions, biomedical waste management, groundwater pollution near landfills, coal-tar by-product recovery, non-exhaust vehicular emissions, and resource recovery from industrial wastes. He has been involved in industry-linked R&D collaborations targeting zero-waste objectives, and has received awards including a UGC scholarship through GATE, a gold medal in Civil Engineering at Government Polytechnic Nagpur, and a best student award, along with membership in the Institution of Engineers (India).
