SUMMARY
Dr. Anil Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi, specializing in Machine Design and Tribology. His doctoral research, titled “A Study of Plain/Conical Hybrid Porous Journal Bearing System,” focused on the numerical simulation and performance analysis of plain and conical porous hybrid journal bearings. His research investigated the influence of various non-Newtonian and smart lubricants, including couple stress, power-law, pseudoplastic, cubic-law, and magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) lubricants, on bearing performance. He has also studied the effects of surface texturing, geometric imperfections of journal surfaces, surface irregularities of bearing surfaces, and single- and double-layer porous matrices on the performance characteristics of hybrid porous journal bearings. Dr. Singh has published his research findings in reputed peer-reviewed international journals, including Tribology International, Tribology Transactions, Meccanica, and the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part J: Journal of Engineering Tribology. His research interests include tribology, lubrication, bearing design, non-Newtonian lubrication, porous media lubrication, and computational modeling of tribological systems.
