PROFILE

Dr. Amrish K. Panwar received Ph.D degree in Condensed Matter Physics from Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee (UK), India in the year 2005, Presently he is working as Associate Professor in Department of Applied Physics, Delhi Technological University, Delhi. Prior to joining DTU, he has worked as a Senior Lecturer in Department of Physics & Material Science, JUET, Guna (M.P.) during 2008 to 2010. After completing Ph.D degree, he joined as Postdoctoral fellow (project scientist) on "Development of Lithium-ion Battery Technology" in the Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, W.B., since 2006 to 2008. His area of research includes: Energy storage and conversion devices (lithium/sodium ion batteries/supercapacitors), materials synthesis to prototype device fabrication, study of multiferroic and thermoelectric materials, surface modification of low-energy solids/ polymers.

Besides teaching assignments in condensed matter physics, energy storage and conversion devices, he is actively involved in research and development work.

Dr. Panwar has been awarded Young Scientist fast track project’ as principal investigator by SERB-DST, Govt. of India during 2012-2017. He has been awarded ‘Research Excellence’ awards consecutively for the years 2018-2021, 2023-2025 by DTU, Delhi. He has been recognised as Jury Member (DST INSPIRE/ Manak)National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) under INSPIRE Awards for the years DST 2013 -2016, 2018.

He has supervised 08 Ph.D., 40 M. Tech (NST)/ MSc(Physics) and more than 80 B. Tech. (Engineering Physics) students. He has published about 100 research papers in the Journal of International Repute / Proceedings of National/ International Conferences and book chapters.
