Research Lab: Synchrophasor lab link

Synchrophasor lab is equipped with the state-of-the-art power system computer simulation tools (e.g., including OPAL RT-LAB, HYPERSIM, PSCAD/EMTDC, Digsilent Power factory and Matlab/Sim PowerSystems), Siemens IED, Substation Automation panel and Siemsen WAMS software, Megger/OMICRON Relay test set and Amplifier.

Prospective students are expected to work in the area of grid integration of renewalbes/WAMS/Protecton/Power sytem Control and Stability 

Prospective PhD Candidates are expected to be from electrical power/energy background with experience of modelling, modelling tools (Digsilent PowerFactory/PSSE/PSCAD/ETAP/MATLAB SIMULINK/LABVIEW/equivalent), python, microcontroller HIL, Real Time Digital Simulators (Opal-RT/ RTDS/Typhoon HIL),hardware hands on experience (lab or field experience)and related experience and those who have done thesis /project/ published work in the area of power system dynamics, protection and PMU application/WAMS at Masters level.

M.Tech:

Prospective students are expected to work in the area of grid integration of solar & wind renewables/cybersecurity of power system
