Dr. Saroj Bala, currently heading the department, is an associate professor who joined the Department of Humanities, DCE in May 2000. With twenty-six years experience of teaching, she has a knack for poetry in Hindi, English and Urdu. Her love for World literature with multicultural shades has nurtured respect for all cultures and languages worldwide, making her a very humble student of literature in general and Indian literature in particular. Mentoring students is her passion, which makes her available to them 24 hours a day to guide them in realising the dream of Viksit Bharat in the near future. She has initiated the inclusion of MA (English) and Integrated UG and PG Programs in Economics in the Department of Humanities.
