Dr.Jitendra Nath Rai, born in Azamgarh district Uttar Pradesh. He received his B.E. (with distinction) in Electrical Engineering.M. Tech in Integrated Power System from VNIT Nagpur (formerly known as Vishveshvariya Regional College of Engineering) in year 1988 and1992 respectively.

He received his Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.He has published more than 100 papers in National and International Journals and conferences of repute.

He is currently working as a Professor of Electrical Engineering since 2016 in Delhi Technological University, Delhi,India.He has also worked as nodal officer for TEQIP-III Project, MHRD Government of India. His area of interest is Intelligent power system operation and control, protection system and energy system.He has undertaken various R&D projects.He is a life member ISTE and FPES, India. He is also a member of IEEE.He is supervising various projects for UG/PG and Ph.D students in the area of Intelligent controllers,advanced protection and grid integration.
