RESEARCH PROJECTS
Delhi College Of Engineering has carried out an appreciable work on broadband over Power Lines. It is an emergent technology development in the area of communication systems most suitable and affordable for last mile connectivity and in-house/in-building connectivity of broadband signals besides automation & control of electrical power systems and appliances. This technology offers 200 Mbps which is the world's highest speed fully-featured home networking technology with advanced features such as quality of service management, multicast, higher security and network location.

The Department of Electrical Engineering has been awarded a project by AICTE on modernisation & Removal of obsolescence' for development of electrical drives laboratory and strengthening of Electrical Machines Laboratory.

DCE Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Project

DCE-AUV is a project undertaken by students of Delhi College of Engineering. Currently in its second generation development, this project aims at designing and building of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle. The vehicle is capable of performing various underwater tasks like detecting underwater light sources, following pipelines, traveling through gates, dropping markers at strategic locations, detecting ultrasonic sound, picking up loads etc. it is a multi-disciplinary project, requiring involvement of skilled people from different branches of Engineering. This project has varied applications in fields of underwater surveillance and defense. It makes use of modern technology and equipments to fulfill its tasks up to the mark and perform well when tested.

The first generation vehicle developed by the DCE-AUV team participated in an international competition organized in San Diego (USA), by AUVSI and ONR. It performed quite well and fared better than teams from many reputed universities from all over the globe. This time, efforts are being made to further improve and broaden the technology used with a greater amount of accuracy and precision. The team plans to work harder and try and achieve greater heights in the international competition to be held in San Diego (USA) this summer.
