Admissions

Reservation

Reservation policy for the year 2009-10 would be notified on the website www.dce.edu as and when the same is approved by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

The seats carry the following reservations as per 2008-09.
  1. In a post graduate program 15% of the seats will be reserved for scheduled caster candidates and 7.5% of the seats will be reserved for scheduled tribes candidates (interchangeable) respectively. The reservation will be implemented Department-wise.

  2. For Reserved category of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes the minimum eligibility for admission to Post-graduate Programs will be the minimum pass marks of the University of Delhi. The Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes candidates who had passed the qualifying examination from other Universities, should have secured at least the same percentage of marks at the qualifying examination (equivalent examination of Delhi University) for purpose of admission to the post graduate Programs.

  3. If the requisite number of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes candidates are not available by the last date fixed by the university for admission to each Program, the remaining seats will be treated as unreserved and filled from general category.

  4. 3% seats in post graduate program will be reserved for candidates with physical disability. These reservation will be implemented department wise in post graduate courses. Candidates seeking admission as detailed in eligibility conditions except relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility conditions. The 3% reservation may be allocated as follows: 1% for person with low vision or blindness; 1% for hearing impaired; 1% for those with locomotor disabilities and or cerebral palsy.

  5. In the M.E. Programs one Defense Research & Development Organization sponsored candidate to each Program, duly selected through DRDO selection interviews, which are participated in by the respective Heads of Departments, will be accommodated in the list of candidates under sponsored category.
